1、 Cause of tyre burst

1. The tire leaks. If the tire is punctured by iron nails or other sharp objects and the tire is not punctured for the time being, the tire will leak and cause a tire burst.

2. The tire pressure is too high. Due to the high-speed driving of the vehicle, the temperature of the tire increases, the air pressure increases, the tire deforms, the elasticity of the tire body decreases, and the dynamic load on the vehicle also increases. In case of impact, internal crack or tire burst will occur. This is also the reason why tire burst accidents will occur intensively in summer.

3. The tire pressure is insufficient. When the car is running at high speed (the speed exceeds 120km / h), insufficient tire pressure is easy to cause “harmonic vibration” of the carcass, resulting in huge resonance force. If the tire is not strong enough or has been “injured”, it is easy to burst the tire. Moreover, insufficient air pressure increases the sinking of the tire, which is easy to cause the tire wall to land when turning sharply, and the tire wall is the weakest part of the tire, and the tire wall landing will also lead to tire burst.

2、 Prevention of tire burst

1. Radial tire is preferred

The carcass of tubeless tire and radial tire is relatively soft, and the belt layer adopts fabric cord or steel cord with high strength and small tensile deformation. Therefore, this kind of tire has strong impact resistance, small rolling resistance and less energy consumption. It is most suitable for driving on expressway.

Tubeless tire has small quality, good air tightness and small rolling resistance. In the case of tire perforation, the tire pressure will not drop sharply and can continue to drive. Because the tire can dissipate heat directly through the rim, the working temperature is low, the aging speed of tire rubber is slow, and the service life is relatively long.

2. Use low-pressure tires as much as possible

At present, almost all cars and trucks use low-pressure tires; Because the low-pressure tire has good elasticity, wide section, large contact surface with the road, thin wall and good heat dissipation, these characteristics improve the driving smoothness and steering stability of the vehicle, greatly prolong the service life of the tire and prevent the occurrence of tire burst.

3. Focus on speed level and carrying capacity

Each kind of tire has different speed and load limit due to different rubber and structure. When selecting tires, the driver should see the speed level mark and bearing capacity mark on the tires, and select tires higher than the maximum driving speed and maximum bearing capacity of the vehicle to ensure driving safety.

4. Maintain the standard tire pressure

The service life of a tire is closely related to the air pressure. If the driver finds that the tire is overheated due to excessive air pressure, it is absolutely not allowed to deflate and pour cold water on the tire to reduce the temperature, which will accelerate the aging speed of the tire. In this case, we can only stop for natural cooling and depressurization. If the tire pressure is too low, the driver should inflate it in time and check whether the tire is deflated slowly, so as to replace the tire with good air tightness.

3、 Measures to deal with tire burst

1. Don’t brake hard, slow down slowly. Because the sudden tire burst when the car is driving at high speed will make the vehicle side slip, and the sudden braking will make this side slip more serious, resulting in rollover.

2. While decelerating slowly, hold the steering wheel tightly with both hands and turn in the opposite direction of the flat tire to ensure the straight driving of the vehicle.

Experience in handling a flat tire:

1. Hold the steering wheel with both hands throughout the process.

2. Never brake with all your strength immediately after a flat tire.

3. If the situation is controllable, please draw your hand, take 0.5 seconds to turn on the double flash, and continue to hold the direction immediately after completion.
