Structure of evaporator

 Evaporator is also a kind of heat exchanger. It is a direct device to obtain cold air in the refrigeration cycle. Its shape is similar to the condenser, but narrower, smaller and thicker than the condenser. The evaporator is installed behind the instrument panel in the cab. Its structure and installation in the refrigeration system are mainly composed of pipes and heat sink. There are water pan and drainage pipe under the evaporator

1 function of evaporator. The function of the evaporator is opposite to that of the condenser. The refrigerant absorbs heat and the air flowing through the evaporator is cooled. When the refrigeration system works, the high-pressure liquid refrigerant expands through the expansion valve and the pressure decreases. It becomes wet vapor and enters the evaporator core pipe to absorb the heat of the heat sink and the surrounding air. During the operation of the evaporator, due to the reduction of the relative humidity of the air, the excess water in the air will gradually condense into droplets, which will be collected and discharged out of the vehicle through the water outlet pipe. In addition, in order to save energy and make the air of the blower come from the compartment, the low-temperature air has been cooled through the evaporator, and then sent into the compartment again after cooling (when the air conditioner works, the internal circulation mode is adopted), and the automobile air conditioner is circulated repeatedly, which can not only cool the compartment, but also dehumidify it.

2 requirements for evaporator. Due to the limited space and location of the evaporator (the component that directly generates cold air or warm air) in the vehicle, the evaporator is required to have the characteristics of high refrigeration efficiency, small size and light weight. For the system with expansion valve, the superheat at the evaporator outlet is controlled by the expansion valve. For the system with fixed throttle pipe, the gas-liquid separator behind the evaporator is used to ensure that the compressor must suck in gas.

 

3 type of evaporator. The evaporator has segment type, tube belt type and laminated type.

 

1 segment is evaporator. The utility model has the advantages of simple structure and convenient processing, but the heat dissipation efficiency is poor.

 

2 tube and belt evaporator. This evaporator has high heat transfer efficiency, which can be improved by about 10% compared with the tube.

 

3. Cascade evaporator. The laminated evaporator has two aluminum plates with complex stroke shapes stacked together to form a refrigerant pipe, and a serpentine heat dissipation aluminum belt is added between each two channels.
